Faith is Scripturally defined as:

1. Faith is: believing that everything God said is true, committing to follow what it says, and then doing what the Word says. In other words, believing/trusting, committing to obey or do, and then the action of obeying/doing it. Another way we say it is that faith is believing, committing, and trusting in God and His Word.

2. All of mankind is “under the law” (The law of sin and death) until they come into covenant through faith in the Messiah and receive salvation by grace through that faith.

3. God’s Children through Faith 23 Before the way of faith in Christ was available to us, we were placed under guard by the law. We were kept in protective custody, so to speak until the way of faith was revealed. 24 Let me put it another way. The law was our guardian until Christ came; it protected us until we could be made right with God through faith. 25 And now that the way of faith has come, we no longer need the law as our guardian. 26For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes’ 28There is no longer Jew or Gentile slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.

4.  The way for us to be saved is to believe that we have sinned and deserve death because the Word says so.

• John 3:3 Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of Yehovah."

• Acts 2:38 Peter replied, "Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to Yehovah and be baptized in the name of Yeshua Messiah for the forgiveness of your sins.

Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

• Proverbs 28:9 He that turned away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

• Ecclesiastes 12:13 That's the whole story. Here now is my conclusion: Fear Yehovah and obey His commands, for this is everyone's duty.

• Galatians 3:28 There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female.

For you are all one in Christ Yeshua.

• James 1:22 But don't just listen to Yehovah’s word. You must do what it says.

Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.
