If you Read Matthew 5 the entire chapter, not only did Christ tell us the law would not end until the earth passes away, but He also reinforces the law by clarifying that angry, lustful thoughts, wrongful divorce, oaths, and not loving our enemies were sinning. Was breaking Gods laws

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”—
This is the covenant I will establish with the people of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

Christ Came to Fulfill the Law

Romans 13:10 Love does no wrong to others, so love fulfills the requirements of God’s law.
 

Matthew 17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. 19 Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1John 2:

Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.

They cover every phase of man's life in his relationship with God and his fellowmen, now and hereafter. If obeyed, they will bring rich rewards here and forever; if disobeyed, they will bring condemnation and eternal punishment.
