6 And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.

Love the LORD your God and keep his requirements, his decrees, his laws and his commands always.

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus.

Through him, we received grace and apostleship to call all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith for his name’s sake.

You are my friends if you do what I command.

“If you love me, keep my commands.
 

6 God “will repay each person according to what they have done.”

7 To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality, he will give eternal life.

8 But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.
He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”

For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man, the many will be made righteous.
