"If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left." Option 1: Direct & Natural (Engaging Study Guide) Scripture Reference: Hebrews 10:26 "If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left." What is "Willful Sin"? In this setting, willful sin means knowingly and permanently turning your back on Yeshua. It warns those who fully understand the truth yet consciously choose to walk away and reject Him. Why "No Sacrifice Remains": Yeshua is the Father's ultimate, complete, and final offering for human sin. Once an individual rejects Yeshua, there is no second savior, no Levitical altar to run back to, and no alternate plan of Option 3: Side-by-Side Clarification (Common Misconceptions vs. Biblical Meaning) What It Does Not Mean What the Scripture Actually Teaches It does not mean someone loses their standing because they stumble into ordinary human failure or daily struggles. It specifically warns against apostasy—a settled, deliberate decision to abandon faith in Yeshua entirely. It does not mean the Father refuses repentance from a contrite heart seeking forgiveness. It addresses those who knowingly treat Yeshua’s blood as unholy, leaving themselves with no other sacrifice to cover their sins. Proponents emphasize that Yehovah (יְהֹוָה) is not a 16th-century Christian invention. It is documented with full pointing in over 1,000 Hebrew Bible manuscripts, including prominent early texts like the Leningrad Codex and the Aleppo Codex. They argue Masoretic scribes who guarded letter-by-letter accuracy would not have recorded "mistaken" vowels across centurie The Consonants (יהוה / YHWH): Appear 6,828 times in the Hebrew Masoretic Text. In the Dead Sea Scrolls (dating 2,000+ years ago), scribes often wrote these four consonants in archaic Paleo-Hebrew script to set the sacred Name apart from the surrounding square Aramaic-Hebrew script. 1,000 times across other medieval manuscripts), while the shortened two-vowel form served as the standard scribal reminder (qere perpetuum) to pronounce "Adonai".

The good news is that Yehovah ordained Yeshua to announce the coming of His kingdom here on earth. Many would be shocked to find out that the Bible defines the gospel differently than what they have always been told. A thorough reading shows He brought and that the apostles continued to preach. The True Gospel e The spiritual path begins with a direct call from Yeshua: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. ” This imperative is the doorway to salvation—a foundational, inward shift away from sin and a fallen world, and a redirection of the heart toward the sovereign authority of God. Matthew 4:17 — “From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, ‘Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.’” Mark 1:15 — “And saying, ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.’” 2. The Doorway: Water Baptism and the Holy Spiri t Following the resurrection and ascension of Yeshua, Peter declared the active steps of covenant entry at Pentecost: turning in repentance, being buried with Messiah in baptism, and receiving divine empowerment through the Spirit. Acts 2:38 — “Then Peter said unto them, ‘Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.’” John 3:5 — “Jesus answered, ‘Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.’” 3. The Blood: Grafted into the Commonwealth of Israel By the blood shed on the tree, the dividing wall of hostility was torn down. Nations once alienated from the promises and covenants are brought near and grafted as wild olive branches into the root of Israel. Ephesians 2:12–13 — “That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Yesgua messiah ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.” Romans 11:17 — “A nd if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree.” 4. The Commission: Gathering Others into the Harvest Salvation is not walked in isolation; a grafted branch bears fruit. Believers are commanded to act as fishers of men and ambassadors, working to gather the lost into the Father’s house before the end. Matthew 28:19–20 — “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.” Matthew 9:37–38 — “Then saith he unto his disciples, ‘The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.’” Luke 14:23 — “And the lord said unto the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.’” 5. The Perseverance: Holding Fast Until the End The culmination of salvation requires endurance through trials, testing, and persecution. The promise of the eternal crown belongs to those who do not turn back. Matthew 24:13 — “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” Hebrews 10:35–36 — “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.” Revelation 2:25–26 — “But that which ye have already hold fast till I come. And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations.” What Did Yeshua Preach? Many would be shocked to find out that the Bible defines the gospel differently than what they have always been told. A thorough reading shows that accepting Christ's blood in payment for our sins—as foundationally important as it is—is not the focus of the "good news" that He brought and that the apostles continued to preach. In addition to dying for our sins, Yeshua came to earth as a messenger from Yehovah the Father: The good news is that Yehovah ordained Yeshua to announce the coming of His kingdom here on earth. The announcement of "good news"— the very best news that could be heard today—which the Father gave through Yeshua, was about His Kingdom being established on earth. What is a kingdom? It is essentially a nation, with all of its citizens, land, and laws, ruled by a government. In biblical usage, a kingdom can also mean a family from a single parent grown into a nation. A kingdom has four basic elements: a king, supreme ruler, or governing agent; territory, with its specific location and definite boundary lines; subjects or citizens within that territorial jurisdiction; and laws and a form of government through which the will of the ruler is exercised. If we ignore any one of these essential elements—if we ignore the message that Yeshua brought from the Father—we will have a distorted faith, one that will not bring salvation. Who Will Be King? There can be no doubt that the King of God's Kingdom will be Yeshua. Even though He did not exercise any civil authority while on earth when He returns, He will be "King of kings and Lord of lords" Timothy 6:15; Revelation 19:16; 17:14). Other prophets also foretold of a coming king, not just of Israel and Judah, but also extending to the entire world. Isaiah tells us: For unto us, a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace, there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. (Isaiah 9:6-7) Where Will the Kingdom Be Established? A dominant falsehood that Satan has foisted on mankind is the belief that one's soul goes to heaven after death. Many people assume that the phrase Kingdom of God is synonymous with heaven, but the Bible teaches that when Yeshua returns, the Kingdom of God will be established on earth! First, notice how the Bible completely refutes the notion of "going to heaven" after death. Peter tells the crowd on the day of Pentecost, "Men and brethren, let me speak freely to you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.. .. For David did not ascend into the heavens" (Acts 2:29, 34). This "man after God's own heart" is not in heaven, but still in the grave! Our Savior confirms this in John 3:13: "No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven." Ecclesiastes 9:5,10 The dead saints of the Old and New Testaments alike are sleeping in their graves, awaiting the resurrection - without consciousness. Job 14:14-15 Job describes waiting for the resurrection in this way: "If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my hard service I will wait, till my change comes. You shall call, and I will answer You. Revelation 5:10, "And You have made them a kingdom (royal race) and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth!" Revelation 11:15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying; "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Yehovah and His Son, and He shall reign forever and ever!" Revelation 21:21. And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also, there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. … Revelation 21:1 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son." Who Are the Kingdom's Subjects and Citizens? Even though the entire world will be ruled by Yeshua when He establishes the Kingdom on earth, not everyone on earth will be a citizen of that Kingdom. Everyone will be subject to the King of Kings, but not everyone will have entered into that spiritual Kingdom. John 3:3 Yeshua revealed this truth to Nicodemus. When Nicodemus came to Him at night, Yeshua told him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" . I Corinthians 15:50. Paul told the Corinthians "Flesh and blood [mortal humans] cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption" While we have a physical, flesh-and-blood body, we may be heirs of the Kingdom, but we cannot enter fully into the Kingdom, nor can we see it, until we become spirit—given a glorious spirit-composed body in the resurrection. This means that, even though all of mankind will be subject to the Kingdom that Yeshua will rule on earth, they will not necessarily be a part of it. Matthew 25:31-34 When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, "Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world." The Kingdom of God, then, will be ruled by Yeshua and will be inherited by those who have been glorified upon being resurrected from the dead. The resurrected saints—citizens of God's Kingdom—will rule along with Yeshua over the remaining peoples of the earth (Daniel 7:27; II Timothy 2:12; Revelation 2:26-28; 5:9-10; 20:4-6; 22:5). What are the Laws of the Kingdom? Judges 21:25 . Law is simply a guide for people to follow to ensure cohesion, agreement, and peace in civil and interpersonal relationships. Without an understood standard, enforced by a sovereign ruler, everyone would act according to his own whim or desire, and nothing good or worthwhile would be produced. The Kingdom of God is no different. I Corinthians 14:33 God is not the author of confusion. His Kingdom will be peaceful and orderly because everyone who will enter into it will have voluntarily submitted himself to the law - the commandments - of God. God will not have anyone in His Kingdom who demonstrates, by the pattern of his life, that he will not obey Him. (Matthew 7:21-23; Hebrews 10:26-31). Revelation 12:17 describes the saints as those "who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Yeshua. These two statements - loving God and loving your neighbor as oneself - encapsulate the first four and the last six commandments respectively. The commandments merely define further how to love God and love man. We love God in general by placing Him first, by not adopting physical aids in worshiping Him, by not bearing His name in vain, and by keeping the seventh-day Sabbath holy. We love men, in general, by honoring our parents, not murdering, not committing adultery, not stealing, not lying, and not coveting. John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him." "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Fathers who sent Me." Here is the core breakdown of why many modern Christians leave out the commandments and repentance: Fear of Rejection: Many worry that talking about sin and rules makes them look judgmental, legalistic, or "fire-and-brimstone." They omit the hard truths to avoid driving people away. The Comfort Business: To fill pews, many churches have traded a message of conviction for a message of comfort. It’s easier to sell God as a cosmic therapist who wants to bless you than a King who demands repentance. "Cheap Grace": There is a widespread misunderstanding that because salvation is a free gift, God's moral laws no longer matter. It offers forgiveness without requiring a change in behavior. Avoiding Hypocrisy: Proclaiming the commandments holds up a mirror to the world—but it also holds one up to the person preaching. It is easier to offer vague positivity than to live out a strict, counter-cultural standard. The Bottom Line: You cannot have the "Good News" without the bad news. The Commandments show us where we are broken, Repentance is turning away from that brokenness, and Grace is the rescue. Without the first two, the rescue means nothing. The Gospel (in Hebrew, the Besorah—"good news") that Yeshua (Jesus) personally preached is summarized in Mark 1:14–15: "Now after John was put in prison, Yeshua came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, 'The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.'" While modern ears often hear "the gospel" defined exclusively as the mechanics of individual salvation (how to go to heaven when you die), Yeshua’s proclamation was broader, deeper, and grounded in the Hebrew Scriptures: the Gospel of the Kingdom of God (Besorat HaMalkhut). He announced that the sovereign rule, authority, and covenant reign of the Creator had broken directly into this fallen world through the King Himself. 1. "The Time is Fulfilled" (Prophetic Arrival) When Yeshua said the time was fulfilled, He was speaking to a nation longing for deliverance. The prophecies of Daniel (the timeline of Daniel 9 and the stone that crushes the kingdoms of the world in Daniel 2) and Isaiah were reaching their climax. In Luke 4:18–19, He opened the scroll of Isaiah 61 in the Nazareth synagogue to define His mandate: Preaching good tidings to the poor and humble. Healing the brokenhearted. Proclaiming liberty to the captives and the opening of prison to those who are bound. Proclaiming the acceptable year of the Lord (the ultimate Jubilee release from sin and debt). 2. "The Kingdom of God is at Hand" (The Core Proclamation) Yeshua did not preach an abstract philosophy; He preached an active government and reign: Sovereignty over the Kingdom of Darkness: Every time Yeshua cast out a demon, healed incurable diseases, or raised the dead, He was demonstrating that Satan’s usurpation of the earth was being overthrown. "If I cast out demons by the finger of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you" (Luke 11:20). The Nature of the King’s Reign: His kingdom was not of this worldly system—it did not advance through political intrigue, violence, or human armies (John 18:36). Instead, it advanced through truth, sacrificial love, humility, and righteousness. Present and Future: The Kingdom is already here in the hearts and walk of those who submit to the King, and it is yet to come in its physical, global fullness when the King returns to establish His reign in Jerusalem (Zechariah 14; Revelation 11:15). 3. "Repent" (Teshuvah — A Complete Return) To enter this Kingdom, the requirement was not a passive intellectual nod, but Teshuvah—a radical turning around: Turning from Self-Rule to God's Rule: Repentance means laying down rebellion, secular autonomy, and false religious pretenses. Internalizing the Commandments: In the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5–7), Yeshua explained the constitution of the Kingdom. He made it clear that He did not come to abolish the Law or the Prophets, but to fill them to the full (Matthew 5:17). Kingdom repentance goes beyond external legalism to the motives of the heart—eradicating lust, hatred, pride, and greed. Fruit of Repentance: Just as John the Baptist warned, Yeshua taught that true repentance always bears observable, righteous fruit (Matthew 7:16–21). 4. "Believe in the Good News" (Covenant Faith & Allegiance) In the biblical mindset, "belief" (emunah) is not merely agreeing that God exists; it is active loyalty, trust, and obedience to the King: Trusting the Father’s Provision: Ceasing to worry about food, drink, and clothing like the nations do, but rather "seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you" (Matthew 6:33). Trusting the Sacrifice of the Son: Yeshua taught that He came "not to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many" (Mark 10:45). The Good News is that the King took the curse of our disobedience upon Himself at Passover, shedding His blood to ratify the New Covenant (Matthew 26:28). Victory Over the Grave: Yeshua promised that whoever hears His word and believes Him who sent Him has passed from death into life (John 5:24), anchored by His own resurrection as the firstfruits from the dead. 5. Summary: What Entering the Gospel Requires In Yeshua's own words, walking in the Gospel means: Denying Self: "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me" (Luke 9:23). Obeying the Father's Will: "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven" (Matthew 7:21). Loving God and Neighbor: Loving the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and loving your neighbor as yourself (Mark 12:29–31). Proclaiming the Kingdom to All Nations: "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come" (Matthew 24:14). In short, the Gospel Yeshua taught is the royal proclamation that God’s reign has arrived in His Messiah, calling every human heart to turn away from sin, enter covenant peace with the Father through the Son, and live as an obedient citizen of His eternal Kingdom. In ancient kingdoms, when a king ascended his throne, he issued a royal charter or legal code declaring how his realm would be governed and what was expected of his subjects. In Matthew 5–7, Yeshua goes up on a mountain—echoing Moses ascending Mount Sinai—sits down in the posture of a reigning king and teacher, and delivers the manifesto of His newly inaugurated reign. The Sermon on the Mount is not an impractical, idealistic philosophy, nor is it a checklist to earn salvation. It is the living, practical constitution of the Kingdom of God, dictating the character, inner motives, ethics, and daily allegiance required of every citizen walking under Messiah's rule. 1. The Preamble: The Citizen’s Internal Disposition (The Beatitudes) Any national constitution opens with foundational values. Earthly empires prize military conquest, political clout, wealth, and self-assertion. Yeshua begins His charter (Matthew 5:3–12) by turning the world's value system completely upside down: Poor in Spirit: Recognizing total spiritual bankruptcy and utter dependence on the King. Mourning: Grieving over personal sin and the brokenness of a fallen world. Meekness: Possessing harnessed strength, patience, and humility rather than violent ambition. Hunger for Righteousness: Longing for God’s righteous order to prevail more than craving food or physical comfort. Mercy and Purity of Heart: Extending forgiveness and maintaining undivided, uncorrupted loyalty to God. Peacemaking: Actively reconciling estranged parties, reflecting the character of the Father. These are not separate groups of people receiving different rewards; together, they describe the temperament of the citizen who has laid down self-rule. 2. The Citizen’s Public Office: Salt and Light Citizens of the Kingdom do not live in isolationist enclaves; they are embedded directly into a decaying and dark culture (Matthew 5:13–16): Salt of the Earth: In antiquity, salt was a preservative that arrested rot and decay. Kingdom citizens preserve truth, hold back moral corruption, and bring spiritual flavor to the societies they inhabit. Light of the World: Light exposes danger and guides the traveler. Believers do not hide their allegiance to the King; their visible, tangible good works shine so that observers give glory directly to the Father. 3. The Legal Standard: Fulfilling and Internalizing the Law In Matthew 5:17–20, Yeshua establishes the legal framework of His government, dispelling any thought of lawlessness or anarchy: "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled." To "fulfill" (pleroo) in Hebrew thought means to bring the law to its fullest intended meaning and expression, not to abolish it. Yeshua contrasts the superficial, external legalism of the religious establishment with the King’s internal standard. Through a series of six antitheses ("You have heard that it was said... but I say to you"), He shows that the King's law governs the thoughts and desires before an act is ever committed: Murder vs. Contempt: It is not enough to refrain from physical murder; harboring bitter anger, resentment, or hurling venomous insults (Raca) makes one liable to judgment (5:21–26). Adultery vs. Lust: Purity is not just refraining from physical unfaithfulness; looking with covetous intent is adultery in the heart (5:27–30). Oaths vs. Total Integrity: Citizens do not need elaborate religious oaths or legal loopholes to verify their truthfulness; their word is their bond—their "Yes" means yes, and their "No" means no (5:33–37). Retaliation vs. Sacrificial Generosity: Rather than demanding immediate vengeance ("an eye for an eye"), citizens yield personal rights, go the extra mile, and overcome evil with good (5:38–42). Love for Enemies: The ultimate test of Kingdom citizenship is reflecting the Father’s indiscriminate benevolence—praying for persecutors and blessing those who curse you (5:43–48). 4. Public Duty & Worship: Sincerity Over Religious Theater In Matthew 6, Yeshua regulates the three primary pillars of personal religious duty: giving, prayer, and fasting. In earthly systems, piety is often weaponized for social prestige. In the Kingdom, performance art is condemned: Secret Giving (Alms): Giving to the needy without sounding a trumpet or announcing tax write-offs; the left hand does not know what the right is doing. Secret Prayer: Communing behind closed doors with the Father, rather than reciting vain, repetitive words to impress bystanders. He provides the Model Prayer (the Lord's Prayer), teaching citizens to align their desires with the Father’s name, His kingdom coming, and His will being done on earth. Secret Fasting: Anointing the head and washing the face so that the physical affliction of fasting is unseen by men, directed only to the Father who sees in secret. 5. The Economic System: Trust, Not Striving Every kingdom has an economy. The economy of the world is driven by fear, scarcity, hoarding, and status anxiety. The Kingdom of God operates on radical faith in divine provision (Matthew 6:19–34): Currency: True wealth is not stored in physical barns, bank vaults, or commodities where moth and rust destroy; it is stored in heaven through generous, righteous living. Singular Focus: A servant cannot serve two masters. You cannot pledge allegiance to the Creator while serving Mammon (wealth/money). Freedom from Worry: Citizens do not sweat and panic over daily bread or clothing like the pagans do. The King feeds the birds of the air and clothes the lilies of the field. The citizen's sole operational directive is: "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." (Matthew 6:33) 6. Relational Protocol: Righteous Discernment Without Self-Righteous Condemnation In Matthew 7:1–12, Yeshua sets the rules for how citizens treat one another: The Spec and the Log: Before attempting to perform delicate eye surgery on a brother’s fault, remove the massive log of blind self-righteousness from your own eye. Holy Discernment: While judgment is warned against, discernment is commanded—do not cast pearls before swine or give what is sacred to dogs. Persistent Petitions: Keep asking, seeking, and knocking, trusting that the Father gives good gifts to His children. The Royal Rule (The Golden Rule): "Whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets." (Matthew 7:12) 7. The Ratification: Hearing vs. Doing A constitution is useless if it is merely read and debated rather than obeyed. Yeshua concludes His address with four sobering warnings demanding personal allegiance: Two Gates: The wide, crowded gate leading to destruction versus the narrow, difficult gate leading to life (7:13–14). Two Trees: True prophets and false prophets, known not by their charisma or titles, but by their actual fruit (7:15–20). Two Confessions: Warning that crying "Lord, Lord" or performing signs in His name is worthless if one practices lawlessness (anomia). Only those who do the will of the Father will enter (7:21–23). Two Foundations: The sermon ends with a dramatic builder’s test. The person who hears these words and builds on them is a wise man who digs deep and anchors his house on the solid bedrock. When the storms, floods, and winds beat against that life, it stands firm. The person who hears and does not obey builds on shifting sand—and great is the fall of it (7:24–27). When Yeshua concluded, the crowds were astonished. He did not quote human traditions or cite precedent like the scribes; He spoke as the Lawgiver and King Himself, laying down the permanent, unalterable rule of life for all who call Him Lord.

The ultimate goal of the Gospel was, and is, not harmony on earth, but PEACE WITH GOD . The real Jesus Watchman Message In the message in Hosea, Yehovah is saying my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. He is warning us that it is our responsibility to give them warning from Him, about the coming wrath that is coming on this earth. Our Father repeated these few verses, He wants us to understand that He is serious, and will hold us accountable if we don't warn them (“son of man" denotes mankind generally) Hebrew people, The Yeshua Nobody Wants to Know Based on the text you provided, here is the clear, direct breakdown listing the two different sides of the Messiah, the different types of peace, the different human responses, and the specific things the Father despises. ⚔️ The Two Different Portraits of Yeshua 1. The Yeshua Everyone Wants to Know This is the popular, comfortable image of the Messiah that modern culture and many teachers love to focus on exclusively. It is characterized by: Gentleness, forgiveness, and unconditional love. A Savior who loves His enemies, forgives prostitutes, touches the untouchable lepers, and feeds the hungry. An image that demands very little personal sacrifice from the person looking at it. 2. The Yeshua Nobody Wants to Know This is the demanding side of the Messiah found in Matthew 10, which people often choose to forget or skip over because it causes heavy social and internal friction. It is characterized by: Being demanding and "brutally straightforward" about the cost of discipleship. Holding nothing back and declaring: "I did not come to bring peace, but a sword" (v. 34). Demanding that loyalty to Him and His truth comes before loyalty to your own father, mother, son, or daughter (v. 37). 🕊️ The Two Different Types of Peace The text corrects a major false assumption about the Messiah's mission on earth by splitting "peace" into two distinct categories: Peace on Earth (The False Assumption): The worldly expectation that the Messiah's goal was to bring immediate, horizontal harmony, social ease, and comfort among men on this earth. Yeshua flatly rejects this: "Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth." Peace with God (The True Gospel Goal): Vertical reconciliation between a holy Creator and a sinful humanity (Romans 5:1). This true peace with the Father requires a sword of division on earth, separating those who obey from those who rebel. 👥 The Two Different Responses of Mankind 1. Those Who Turn Away and Refuse to Listen This group chooses their own comfort and traditions over the explicit commands of God. Their actions are listed directly from Isaiah 66: When the Father calls, they do not answer. When He speaks, they do not listen. They deliberately sin before His very eyes. They choose to do what they know He despises. 2. Those Who Acknowledge Him Publicly This is the remnant—the watchmen and the saints—who choose the narrow, demanding road: They acknowledge Him publicly here on earth, regardless of the sword of division or the social cost in their own families. The Reward: Yeshua promises, "Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven" (Matthew 10:32). 🚫 What the Father Openly Despises Isaiah 66:17 draws a sharp line regarding what brings people to a "terrible end" under the flaming fire of His hot rebuke. He specifically despises: False "Sanctification": People who try to "consecrate" and "purify" themselves using pagan traditions, human-made doctrines, or customized religious rituals (symbolized by the sacred garden with its idol in the center). Dietary Defiance: T hose who actively claim to be close to Him while feasting on pork, rats, and other detestable meats that His Torah explicitly forbids. The Watchman's Conclusion: You cannot separate the gentle Savior from the demanding Judge. To accept a Messiah of "peace" while rejecting His sword of division and His laws is to worship a false image. The evidence of true faith is the willingness to stand on the side of the sword that cuts us away from the traditions of men, so that we can be acknowledged before the Father on the day of reckoning. Matthew 10:34-39 By Reverend Bryn MacPhail If I were to ask you today to name some characteristics of Yeshua, what would you name? If you were describing the personality of Yeshua to someone, what adjectives would you use? Think of some in your head, and I will share with you the first ones that came to my mind. The three characteristics that immediately came to my mind were: GENTLE, FORGIVING, and LOVING. My guess is that most of you think of Yeshua in similar terms as well. When I came to the end of chapter 10 in Matthew, however, I got a very different portrait of Yeshua. After reading this section, not many people, until reading this particular section in Matthew, know this side of Yeshua. And if we are aware of this side of Yeshua, we often choose to forget about it. We are anxious to hear how Yeshua loves His enemies, forgives prostitutes, touches lepers, and feeds the hungry, but that's it. The Yeshua we see in chapter 10, verses 34-39–this Yeshua, quite frankly, is the one that nobody wants to know. But if I skipped this section, you would miss an essential side of Yeshua. The side of Yeshua that is DEMANDING. This is where Yeshua is, what you might term "brutally straight forward". He holds nothing back here. "Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword" (v.34). What a shocking statement! Yeshua "did not come to bring peace, but a sword"? Why would He say such a thing? What Yeshua is doing here is He is correcting false assumptions about what the Jewish Messiah's mission was. According to Isaiah 9:5-7, the Messiah is described as the "Prince of Peace". The interpreters of the Hebrew Scriptures took that to mean that the Messiah would be the "Prince of Peace" ON EARTH. That, however, was not Yeshua' mission. The ultimate goal of the Gospel was, and is, not harmony on earth, but PEACE WITH GOD (Rom. 5:1). Yeshua says, "Do not think that I came to bring peace ON THE EARTH", but He did come to make peace between God and humanity (Rom. 5:1). I will send them great trouble— REPENT and live all the things they feared. When I called, they did not answer. When I spoke, they did not listen. They deliberately sinned before my very eyes and chose to do what they know I despise.” Isaiah 66: 4 See, the Lord is coming with fire, and his swift chariots roar like a whirlwind. He will bring punishment with the fury of his anger and the flaming fire of his hot rebuke.16 The Lord will punish the world by fire and by his sword. He will judge the earth, and many will be killed by him.17 “Those who ‘consecrate’ and ‘purify’ themselves in a sacred garden with its idol in the center —feasting on pork and rats and other detestable meats—will come to a terrible end,” says the Lord. Isaiah 66:4 32“Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. 33 But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.34“Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword.35‘I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. Your enemies will be right in your own household! ’l 37 “If you love your father or mother more than you love me, you are not worthy of being mine; or if you love your son or daughter more than me, you are not worthy of being mine. 38 If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine. 39If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it. Matthew 10:34-39 Take Up Your Cross and Follow Yeshua If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me 24 Then Yeshua told his disciples, “. 25 For whoever would save his life[a] will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. 26 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul? Matthew 16:24 And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.” John 3: 3And we can be sure that we know him if we obey his commandments. 4If someone claims, “I know God,” but doesn’t obey God’s commandments, that person is a liar and is not living in the truth. 5 But those who obey God’s words truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him. 6Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Yeshua did.1 John 2:3 He kept the Leviticus food laws, he kept the Sabbath, He kept Yehovah feast days and he kept the commandments. Why don't we follow the only perfect example there is? “Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose.8For I tell you truly until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. We are to seek, serve, and obey.

The Beatitudes give us a picture of a true disciple of God. Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. "The kingdom of heaven" refers to people who acknowledge Yehovah as King. "Blessed are those daring enough to openly live as Yeshua and suffer persecution. The Sermon on the Mountain Understanding the Sermon on the mountian Sermon on the mount video The Sermon on the Mountain This final diagnostic test goes directly to the heart of the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:1–12). It strips away the passive, poetic veneer that religion often wraps around the Beatitudes, forcing the reader to look into the mirror of the Messiah's opening words and see if their internal condition matches the exact description of a citizen of His Kingdom. 📋 The "Sermon on the Mount" Internal Alignment Test Instructions: Answer these 8 direct questions based on your true internal state and outward actions to determine if you are bearing the fruit of a true disciple or if you are simply tracking with the crowds. Question 1: Poor in Spirit vs. Self-Sufficient The Master states: "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." When you look at your life before Yehovah, what is your true spiritual posture? A) You walk in absolute bankruptcy, fully recognizing your total, desperate need for Yehovah to lead you, guide you, and instruct your every step. B) You are spiritually self-sufficient, relying on your own intellect, human doctrines, or a past prayer, assuming you are "good enough" without a daily, broken dependency on Him. Question 2: Mourning Over Sin vs. Rationalizing Compromise The Master states: "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." How do you respond internally when you realize you have violated the Father's commands or fallen into sin? A) You experience deep, heavy sorrow over your transgression, leading you to an immediate, physical turn (repentance) back to His ways so you can find the true comfort of His forgiveness. B) You shrug it off, minimize it, or claim that "grace covers it" without ever feeling genuine grief or making an effort to stop the behavior. Question 3: The Meek vs. The Self-Willed The Master states: "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth." Meekness is strength under total submission. Who holds the ultimate authority over your time, your money, your diet, and your rest? A) You have fully submitted your neck to Yehovah's yoke. Whatever His Word commands, you do—making Him the absolute Lord over everything you possess. B) You are self-willed. You listen to God's Word only when it matches your existing lifestyle, retaining final veto power over any instruction that requires real sacrifice. Question 4: Hungering for Righteousness vs. Feasting on the World The Master states: "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled." What is the driving passion and deepest hunger of your everyday life? A) You passionately long for the righteousness of Yeshua, consuming His Word daily like food and water, desperate to see His character and His Torah reflected perfectly in your walk. B) You are spiritually full and satisfied with the distractions, entertainment, and material comforts of this world, treating the deeper things of scripture as an occasional snack. Question 5: Merciful vs. Resentful The Master states: "Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy." When someone wrongs you or falls short, what is your knee-jerk reaction? A) You actively extend forgiveness, kindness, and compassion, remembering the massive debt of sin the Father forgave you, and you sow mercy so you may reap it. B) You hold grudges, keep tabs on offenses, or harbor bitter resentment, expecting the Father to show you unlimited mercy while you refuse to offer it to others. Question 6: Pure in Heart vs. Outward Appearance The Master states: "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see Yehovah." Remembering Hebrews 12:14 ("Without holiness, no one will see Yehovah"), what does your life look like when no human being is watching? A) You pursue inward holiness that only Yehovah can see, begging Him to cleanse your hidden motives, your thoughts, and your desires from the inside out. B) You focus entirely on outward appearance. You put on a good show for people at church or online, but your hidden thought life remains uncleaned and full of compromise. Question 7: Peacemakers vs. Divide-and-Conquer The Master states: "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of Yehovah." How do you handle the ministry of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:19–20)? A) Having been reconciled to the Father through Yeshua, you actively bring that exact message of truth, repentance, and restored covenant fellowship to the people around you. B) You cause division, spread gossip, or remain completely silent about the Messiah, leaving the people in your life disconnected from the only source of true peace. Question 8: Persecuted for Righteousness vs. Hiding the Light The Master states: "Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness... Blessed are you when people insult you... because of me." What happens when your obedience to scripture causes friction with family, friends, or the culture? A) You dare to openly live exactly as Yeshua lived, counting it a joy and a privilege to face insults, exclusion, or false accusations for the sake of His name and His truth. B) You hide your faith, adjust your language, or compromise on the commandments to blend in, ensuring you never face discomfort, social rejection, or pushback from the world. The Kingdom Verdict: Look back over the eight boxes you checked. If the answers land consistently on B, the mirror reveals a sobering truth: The crowd followed Yeshua for the miracles, but only the disciples climbed the mountain to live by His words. You cannot inherit the Kingdom of Heaven if you reject the internal alignment required of its citizens . The Beatitudes are not a list of optional suggestions; they are the baseline character of the remnant. To claim to follow the Messiah while refusing to walk in His meekness, His purity, and His willingness to suffer for righteousness is to remain outside the gate. The choice to step onto the mountain and obey is yours today. Matthew 5:3-12 By Mary Fairchild The Beatitudes give us a picture of a true disciple of God . Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs, is the kingdom of heaven. The phrase "poor in spirit" speaks of a spiritual condition of poverty. It describes the person who recognizes his or her need for Yehovah. "The kingdom of heaven" refers to people who acknowledge Yehovah as King. Paraphrase: "Blessed are those who humbly recognize their need for Yehovah, for they will enter into his kingdom." Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. "Those who mourn" speaks of those who express deep sorrow over sin and repent for their sins. The freedom found in forgiveness of sin and the joy of eternal salvation is the "comfort" of those who repent. Paraphrase: "Blessed are those who mourn for their sins, for they shall receive forgiveness and life eternal." Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Similar to "the poor," "the meek" are those who submit to Yehovah’s authority and make Him Lord. Revelation 21:7 says Yehovah’s children will "inherit all things." Paraphrase: "Blessed are those who submit to Yehovah as Lord, for they will inherit everything he possesses." Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. "Hunger" and "thirst" speak of deep need and driving passion. This "righteousness" refers to Yeshua Messiah. To "be filled" is the satisfaction of our soul's desire. Paraphrase: "Blessed are those who passionately long for Christ, for he will satisfy their souls." Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. We reap what we sow. Those who demonstrate mercy will receive mercy. Likewise, those who have received great mercy will show great mercy. Mercy is shown through forgiveness, kindness, and compassion toward others. Paraphrase: "Blessed are those who show mercy through forgiveness, kindness, and compassion, for they will receive mercy." Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see Yehovah. The "pure in heart" are those who have been cleansed from within. This is not outward righteousness that can be seen by men, but inward holiness that only Yehovah can see. The Bible says in Hebrews 12:14 that without holiness, no one will see Yehovah. Paraphrase: "Blessed are those who have been purified from the inside out, being made clean and holy, for they will see Yehovah." Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of Yehovah. The The Bible says we have peace with Yehovah through Yeshua Messiah. Reconciliation through Christ brings restored fellowship (peace) with Yehovah. 2 Corinthians 5:19-20 says Yehovah entrusts us with this same message of reconciliation to take to others. Paraphrase: "Blessed are those who have been reconciled to Yehovah through Yeshua Messiah and bring this same message of reconciliation to others. All who have peace with Yehovah are his children." Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Just as Yeshua faced persecution, so will his followers. Those who endure by faith rather than hide their faith to avoid persecution are genuine followers of Yeshua. Paraphrase: " Blessed are those daring enough to openly live as and for Yeshua and suffer persecution, for they will receive the kingdom of heaven."Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Matthew 5:11

“Everyone thinks they are going to Heaven, but nobody wants to walk the narrow road” “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate.No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. John 3:13 Everyone thinks they are going to Heaven Biblical truth about Life After Death (heaven, hell, and resurrection) Do you really love God? How you Live your life is the evidence of what you believe internally. How you live outwardly is the ultimate proof of what you believe internally. Every single word of Scripture demands our highest reverence and careful obedience. The Bible isn't a book of optional suggestions or loose advice—it is the direct breath of God, designed to teach, correct, and align our lives with His righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). When we honor God’s Word fully, we allow it to transform how we live, speak, and love every single day. Most people desire Heaven, yet few choose to walk the narrow road that leads there . Yeshua warned us, "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it" (Matthew 7:13). He urges us to "make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many will try to enter and will not be able to" (Luke 13:24). True faith isn't just a distant wish for salvation—it is a daily commitment to follow the hard, narrow path of obedience to Yeshua. No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. John 3:13 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom. Ecclesiastes 9:10 The living knows that they will die, but the dead don’t know anything. There is no longer a reward for them because the memory of them is forgotten. Ecclesiastes 9:5 A good road will be there, and it will be named "God's Sacred Highway." It will be for God's people; no one unfit to worship God will walk on that road. And no fools can travel on that highway. Isaiah 35:8 This self-examination brings us face-to-face with the stark contrast between human assumptions about eternity and the uncompromising truth of Scripture . It compels us to confront the sober reality of the narrow road, the true state of the dead, and the uncompromising holiness Yeshua demands of all who walk His Sacred Highway. "If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he also will drink the wine of God's wrath... and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever."— Revelation 14:9–11" Scripture makes no distinction between the destiny of the deceiver and the destiny of those who yield to his system," Simeon added quietly. "In Revelation 20:10, the devil who deceived them is thrown into the exact same lake of fire and sulfur, to be tormented day and night forever. And Revelation 20:15 confirms that anyone whose name is not written in the Book of Life shares that same end. It is the very place Yeshua spoke of in Matthew 25:41—the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. To take the beast's mark is to share the beast's eternal fate. 📋 The "Narrow Road vs. The Highway to Hell" Test Instructions: Answer these 4 final questions honestly to see if your daily walk and understanding of eternity match the direct words of Christ and the Prophets, or if you are coasting down the broad road of popular culture. Question 1: The Reality of the Narrow Gate In Matthew 7:13, the Master states: "You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way." When you look at your daily choices, your calendar, and your lifestyle, which road does your life actually reflect? A) The Narrow Road. Your life looks drastically different from the culture around you. You actively restrain your flesh, keep the Seventh-Day Sabbath, guard your diet, and painstakingly seek alignment with the Torah, regardless of the social cost. B) The Broad Road. Your lifestyle blends seamlessly into modern Western church culture. You follow the crowd, celebrate conventional holidays, and assume that a simple verbal profession or regular church attendance exempts you from the narrow path. Question 2: The Myth of Immediate Heaven vs. The Word Popular culture teaches that when people die, they immediately float away to heaven. Yet, John 3:13 states: "No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven." Furthermore, Ecclesiastes 9:5 declares: "The living know that they will die, but the dead don’t know anything." How do you handle this plain scriptural truth? A) You accept the words of scripture fully. You recognize that the dead are asleep in the grave, awaiting the physical resurrection and the return of the King to this earth, which drives you to make every day count now with all your might (Ecclesiastes 9:10). B) You prefer comfortable human traditions over scripture, spiritualizing away the plain text so you can hold onto the comforting, unbiblical belief that everyone instantly goes to heaven when they die. Question 3: The Toll on God's Sacred Highway In Isaiah 35:8, the prophet describes the ultimate path: "A good road will be there, and it will be named 'God's Sacred Highway.' It will be for God's people; no one unfit to worship God will walk on that road." What is the standard for traveling on this highway? A) Physical Set-Apartness (Holiness). You understand that "unfit to worship" means living in a state of lawlessness (sin). You actively cleanse your life of detestable things and disobedience so your feet are fit to walk on His holy ground. B) Cultural Convenience. You believe that "grace" allows you to remain unfit, lawless, and unchanged in your daily habits, assuming you can stroll right onto the Sacred Highway while still living by the standards of the world. Question 4: The Effort of Entry In Luke 13:24, Jesus issues a chilling command: "Make every effort to enter through the narrow door. Many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to." How does your current level of spiritual effort match the Master's instruction? A) You exert "all your might" to obey every single word of scripture (2 Timothy 3:16). You test your traditions against the Word, repent where you are wrong, and treat obedience as an absolute necessity. B) You treat scripture as a book of optional suggestions. You apply zero effort to changing your lifestyle, assuming that entering the Kingdom is automatic and requires no hard choices or physical transformation. The Sovereign Verdict: Look squarely at the boxes you checked. If your answers lean heavily toward B, the mirror reveals the most sobering truth of all: How you live your life is the only real evidence of what you believe internally. You cannot claim to hold every single word of scripture in the highest regard if you are actively walking the wide, effortless road of human tradition. The dead cannot plan, work, or repent once they reach the grave. The time to strive for the narrow door and align your feet with God's Sacred Highway is right now, while you still have breath—because the Master never promised an easy path to those who refuse to follow His footsteps. A while back I heard this story, and it made me think, so I thought I would share it. As you drift off to sleep, a voice suddenly calls out your name with terrifying volume—a sound so powerful the vibration shakes your entire bed. A wave of dread washes over you, making you feel physically sick. You open your eyes and find yourself surrounded by millions of terrified, weeping people. Looking up, you behold the Great White Throne of Judgment and the One seated upon it—indescribable, magnificent, and holy. Behind the throne rages a vast wall of fire, its bright flames leaping high into the heavens. Sudden, thunderous cracks bring the entire crowd to their knees as two angels pound their staffs against the ground. Instantly, they lift a man and carry him toward the roaring fire, casting him into the flames where he is no more. Another name is called. Two angels step forward, pick up a woman, and bring her directly before the throne where open books lie waiting. Though you cannot hear the conversation, a profound weight of sorrow radiates from the throne. Then, a voice resounds: “Why didn't you love Me and follow My instructions? You were given so many opportunities, yet you refused. I sent messengers to warn you, but you denied Me. I gave you My Torah. I sent My Son, Yeshua, as the perfect example of how to live—He kept My dietary instructions, honored My seventh-day Sabbaths, observed My Feast days, and walked in all My laws and statutes.” The angels strike their staffs once more and carry her away into the flames, where she is no more. Terrified, the crowd wails, begging for a second chance—but heaven remains silent. Then, you hear your own name called. Overcome with fear, you collapse to your knees, crying out as two angels approach. Just as their hands touch your shoulders and they prepare to lift you up, you snap awake—left with this urgent message. REPENT Warning: There are two paths—one narrow road that leads to eternal life through faithful obedience to Christ, and one broad road that leads to destruction and the lake of fire—your choice matters eternally. Matthew 7:13-14 The one question every professing Christian must answer—your eternity hinges on it. Tampering with Scripture (adding human ideas/traditions as divine commands or subtracting/removing/ignoring/twisting any part) reveals a heart not truly submitted to God. This risks one's name not being found—or shown never to have been—in the Lamb's Book of Life, resulting in eternal judgment in the lake of fire (the second death). Revelation 22:18-19, A life of ongoing sin reflects the devil’s influence, unrepentant behavior rather than an occasional mistake. It’s the contrast between someone who struggles who has the Holy Spirit but tries to improve, versus someone who intentionally chooses a path away from God 1 John 3:8 What is the Fourth Commandment, found in Exodus 20:8-11? Surely you know. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; Exodus 31:12-17

Anyone that leads others away from obedience to Gods commandments is a false prophet your pastors have done violence to My law and have profaned My holy things; they have made no distinction between the holy and the profane, and they have not taught the difference between the unclean and the clean; False Prophet False Salvation This diagnostic test tackles the scriptural criteria for identifying spiritual deception. I t directly contrasts the compromising, blind guides who water down the Torah for social acceptance or financial gain with the uncompromised standard of the good tree—one whose roots are anchored in the Law and whose physical fruits match the walk of the Messiah. 📋 The "Deception, Discipleship, and Fruit" Test Instructions: Answer these 4 direct questions honestly to evaluate the teaching you listen to, the leadership you follow, and the true nature of the fruit your own life is producing. Question 1: The Test of a Teacher (Deuteronomy 13 & Ezekiel 22) In Ezekiel 22:26, Yehovah rebukes the spiritual leaders, stating: "Her priests have done violence to My law... they have made no distinction between the holy and the profane... and they hide their eyes from My Sabbaths." According to the strict standard of Deuteronomy 13, how do you measure the legitimacy of a pastor, teacher, or guide? A) By Covenant Fidelity. If a teacher speaks smooth words but leads people away from keeping the Father's commandments, Sabbaths, and dietary boundaries, you recognize them biblical definition as a false prophet, no matter how large their ministry is . B) By Charisma and Popularity. You judge a leader by their eloquence, their emotional messages, or the size of their congregation, overlooking the fact that they actively teach against or minimize the continuing validity of the Torah. Question 2: The Definition of Fruit In Matthew 12:33, the Master declares: "The tree is known by its fruit." True fruit is not merely having a high intellectual understanding of the Bible, nor is it a set of emotional feelings. Based on scripture, what is the true definition of good fruit? A) Wholehearted Application . Good fruit is the visible, tangible result of a life that hears, understands, and physically does the Word of God—keeping the commandments and walking precisely as Yeshua walked (1 John 2:6). B) Verbal Confession and Intellect. You view fruit as talking about the Bible, debating theology, or having a sentimental affection for Jesus, even if the daily lifestyle remains completely unchanged and lawless. Question 3: The Evidence of the Seed The scripture states in 1 John 3:9–10: "Anyone born of God refuses to practice sin, because God’s seed abides in him; he cannot go on sinning... Anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God." Knowing that sin is defined as the transgression of the Law, what does your spiritual DNA reveal? A) Born of God. The seed of the Word remains in you, causing a deep internal resistance to breaking the Torah. You cannot comfortably live in ongoing, willful lawlessness because your life is dedicated to practicing righteousness. B) Children of Disobedience. You continue to follow human traditions and cultural habits that violate the commandments, rationalizing that "nobody is perfect" to justify an ongoing lifestyle of disobedience. Question 4: The Cost of Sowing in Good Soil The text explains that the one sown on good soil hears, understands, and produces fruit. However, the wholehearted application of the Word of God brings intense tribulation to the soul—including physical, social, economic, and emotional challenges. How do you respond to suffering for the sake of the Kingdom? A) You Endure the Fire. You choose the narrow path of obedience even when it causes painful rifts with family, financial loss, or social rejection, counting it an honor to suffer for the truth. B) You Avoid the Friction . You choose comfort and ease. If a commandment of God (like the Seventh-Day Sabbath) threatens your modern job, your hobbies, or your social standing, you quickly drop it to avoid the cost. The Separation Verdict: Examine your checked boxes with absolute candor. The mirror does not lie. If your choices consistently land on B, you are being led by the very wolves and blind guides the prophets warned about. True righteousness is not a theory; it is a practiced reality. Trees that refuse to bear the fruit of obedience are not neutral—the Master warned they are cut down and cast into the fire. Stop letting lawless teaching soothe your conscience. If you love the Messiah, turn your face away from the traditions of men, open your eyes to His Sabbaths, and let the good soil of your heart produce the uncompromised fruit of the Torah. False Prophet Anyone that leads others away from obedience to Gods commandments is a false prophet. Deuteronomy 13 Test In Ezekiel, Yehovah describes how pastors are doing violence to His laws. Ezekiel 22:26 "Her priests (your pastors) have done violence to My law and have profaned My holy things; they have made no distinction between the holy and the profane, and they have not taught the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they hide their eyes from My Sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. 27 "Her princes within her are like wolves tearing the prey, by shedding blood and destroying lives in order to get dishonest gain.… God says: Anyone born of God refuses to practice sin, because God’s seed abides in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10 By this the children of God and the children of the devil can be distinguished: Anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is anyone who does not love his brother.11 This is the message you have heard from the beginning: We should love one another. (Sin is transgression of the law) Yeshua uses the analogy of fruit and trees to identify false prophets. The fruit is the understanding of the Word of God as demonstrated in the results of a life that has understood and applied the Word of God accurately. Matthew 12:33 “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad, for the tree is known by its fruit. As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. The tree is the person, the fruit is the resulting quality of life (not the understanding of the Word of God but rather its proper application). There are many who understand and don’t apply and therefore do not yield good fruit) — the person is known by its fruit or lack thereof. Notice that it defines what was sown in the soil to produce the good tree — hears, understands, and produces good fruit as it was already defined as a good tree. The wholehearted application of the Word of God, or doing the Word of God, will bring tribulation to the soul in physical, social, economic, psychological, and emotional challenges…or sufferings for the sake of the kingdom – Matthew 7:18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. So, then how do we qualify or disqualify the fruit that Yeshua is talking about? However, one who has a heart that chooses to disregard God's law has NO DESIRE to follow God's law. Matthew 7:20 Thus, by their fruit, you will recognize them Matt. 7:15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves Verse 16 “By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? “ Matthew 7:17 “Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.” Matthew 7:18... “A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.” ” This lets us know what should be in the heart of all His people. And IF... it’s in our heart, then IT WILL BE our desire to pursue. And if it’s NOT in one's heart then it will be evidenced in their desire to NOT pursue it. You either desire to obey it OR you desire to disregard it. They CAN’T be mixed. It seems hard to make a judgment about your pastor as a false prophet when your lifestyle is the same as theirs. The fruit that we are to watch out for is the choosing to disregard God's law. Everything else can be blended but there is no blending the desire to obey and the desire to disregard God's Law. Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them. “But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith. “Yet the law is not of faith, but “the man who does them shall live by them.” Yeshua has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Yeshua, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Summary The Scripture makes a direct link between the fate of the devil, the beast, and those who take the mark: all are cast into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the torment is described as eternal ("day and night forever and ever"). In Jesus' words elsewhere in Scripture, this destination is explicitly described as being prepared for the devil and his angels: Matthew 25:41 "Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.'" Christianity, the most lawless religion on earth You can be sure the False Prophet and the Man of Lawlessness will certainly come from the only religion that has promoted and pushed Lawlessness (not obeying God’s Laws) since the beginning. Keeping in mind that Christianity, the most lawless religion on earth since it actually forbids observing God’s Law, is over 30% of the world, so we got our first indication of what kind of percentage we might be looking at taking the mark. If you do the things God hates and refuse to keep His commandments and encourage others to do the same, they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment will rise forever and ever. The Messages of the Three Angels 6 Then I saw another angel flying directly overhead, with an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on earth, to every nation and tribe and language and people. 7 And he said with a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.” 8 Another angel, a second, followed, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who made all nations drink the wine of the passions of her sexual immorality.” 9 And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he also will drink the wine of God’s wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.” Matthew 10:21-22 21 “Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death. 22 You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. T his self-reflection test is designed to cut through the confusion and fear often surrounding this topic. In Scripture, the "marks" are not about hidden microchips or literal ink tattoos; they represent ownership, allegiance, and what rules your mind (the forehead) and your actions (the hand). Answer Yes or No honestly to each question to examine whose mark you bear in your daily life. The Allegiance & Identity Test The Ultimate Authority: When a choice comes down to following God’s explicit commandments versus following the crowd, the culture, or human convenience, do I choose God's way? The Mind (The Forehead): Is my mind primarily occupied with Scripture, truth, and how to honor God, rather than being consumed by the fears, anger, and philosophies of the world? The Actions (The Hand): Do the physical works of my hands—my labor, how I spend my money, and how I treat my family and neighbors—reflect God’s righteousness and justice? The Source of Security: In times of economic trouble or societal pressure, do I rely entirely on God to provide for and protect my household, rather than putting my ultimate trust in human systems? Open Allegiance: Am I willing to stand firmly for my faith and God's truth even if it means facing disapproval, loss, or being cut off by others? Worship in Truth: Is my worship rooted in an internal reality and a desire to keep His laws, rather than just an empty ritual or a standard routine to look good to others? Understanding the Biblical Meaning In the Bible, the concept of a "mark" is deeply symbolic of identity and ownership. It shows who has your allegiance. The Mark of God (The Seal) : In the Book of Revelation and Ezekiel, God places a seal or mark on the foreheads of those who belong to Him. This mirrors Deuteronomy 6:8, where God tells His people to bind His commandments as a sign on their hands and as frontlets between their eyes (their foreheads). It means your thoughts and your actions are dedicated to keeping His laws. The Mark of the Beast: This is the direct counterfeit. It represents a mind (forehead) and a lifestyle (hand) that has completely surrendered to the world's corrupt system, willful disobedience, and rebellion against God's commandments for the sake of survival, comfort, or fit-in convenience. "Bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates." — Deuteronomy 6:8-9 "Then I looked, and behold, on Mount Zion stood the Lamb, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads." — Revelation 14:1 Reflecting on Your Answers If your life aims toward "Yes": Take heart. If you are actively striving to keep God’s commandments, relying on His Spirit, and trusting Him for your security, you bear the identity of a child of God. Perfect performance isn't the metric—the direction of your allegiance is. If you see areas of "No": It is a clear reminder of where the world or the flesh is trying to press you into its mold. If fear of the future or the pressure of the culture is driving your choices rather than God’s word, it is an invitation to draw a line in the sand. Repent, refuse to bow to worldly compromise, and commit your mind and hands fresh to the Lord today. 14 Because of the signs it was given to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived those who dwell on the earth, telling them to make an image to the beast that had been wounded by the sword and yet had lived. 15 The second beast was permitted to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship it to be killed. 16And the second beast required all people small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead,… The Mark of the Beast seal is not a physical mark. The forehead represents the mind of those who make a consonance decision to disobeys God Commandments, and The mark on the hand represents worship on Sunday. forsaking Gods Sabbaath Saturday Something to think about Nebuchadnezzar's Dream Worship the beas t Daniel 3:9 They said to King Nebuchadnezzar, “Long live the king! 10 You issued a decree requiring all the people to bow down and worship the gold statue when they hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipes, and other musical instruments.the statue was made for a specific purpose. With it, the king would demand total obedience and humiliation from his governmental underlings. And Daniel warns the dream means that God's Kingdom is coming to crush all other kingdoms (Daniel 2:44). But Nebuchadnezzar ignores the warning and builds a 90-foot tall statue (or image) of himself. He demands that all his politicians bow down and worship his image (Daniel 3:1, 5). 4 Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. 5 You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him, there is no sin. 6 No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. 7 Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. 8 Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. 9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10 By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother. But what percentage takes the mark? It’s not hard to determine who will wield the mark if you eliminate doctrine and preconceived notions. The beast is that which “…will speak out against the Most High and oppress the saints of the Most High, intending to change the appointed times and laws; and the saints will be given into his hand for a time, and times, and half a time.” This change of appointed times and Laws happened in 364CE when the Law was changed and the 4Th Commandment was replaced, moving the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday in the Council of Laodicea. The “saints” were also mandated to be oppressed by canon law in the very same council and have been at the mercy of the Beast ever since, until 1948 . The Beast, none other than the Roman Empire that “destroyed the holy city and the sanctuary”, then suffers a mortal head wound, Caesar, but does not die. Instead, it is reborn the Holy Roman Empire with a Pope at its head. Certainly not all of them, but if my guess is close, it will be many. Christianity is the only religion that accepts a “man” to be “God”, Judaism and Islam will never accept a human claiming to be God. This is the very “Man of Lawlessness” that will sit in the holy place and declare himself God—something the Romans have always enjoyed doing to their rulers.

Thus said the Lord GOD to these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live: 6 And I will lay sinews on you and will bring up flesh on you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live, and you shall know that I am the LORD Body Soul and Spirit Narriw Path Worship Spirit and Truth Soul, Spirit & Body God the Father knew you and chose you long ago, and his Spirit has made you holy. As a result, you have obeyed him and have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. May God give you more and more grace and peace. We are witnesses of these things and so is the Holy Spirit, who is given by God to those who obey him.” He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, 7 for we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 9 So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil. I believe scripture is telling us that when we die, Yehovah takes back His spirit the breath of life, our souls sleep and our body decays until we are resurrected either to life or to the second death. If we are resurrected to life, we will be given a new body as indicated in the next verses. Believers Who Have Died 1 Thessalonians 4:13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who has no hope? 14 For we believe that Yeshua died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Yeshua those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so, we will be with the Lord Forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words . Assurance of the Resurrection 1 Corinthians 15:49 And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man, so shall we bear the image of the heavenly man.50 I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.” 2 Corinthians 5:8 For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, 3 if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked. 4 For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. 5 Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee . 6 So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. 9 Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. 11 Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are well known to God, and I also trust is well known in your conscience s. Fifth Seal: The Cry of the Martyrs Revelations 6:9 When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held.10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” 11 Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed? Who has ascended to heaven? There are four occasions in the bible where it appears that individuals have gone to Heaven; Elijah, Lazarus, and Thief on the cross and absent from the body present with Yehovah. 2 Kings 2:11 Then it happened, as they continued and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. John 3:13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. 2 Chronicles 21:12 Thus says the Lord God of your father David: Because you have not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat your father, or in the ways of Asa king of Judah, Rich Man and Lazarus ● Luke 16:19-23 “There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. 20 But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, 21 desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover, the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. Luke 16:29 Abraham said to him, “They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.” 30 And he said, “No, Father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’”31 But he said to him, “If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.” Thief on the cross Luke 23: 39-42 Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”43 And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today,,,,, you will be with Me in Paradise.” Keep this in mind Hebrew writings did not have commas. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.” NOT THE MARK OF GOD “YEHOVAH” Teaching against obedience to God’s commandments is a betrayal of His Word because it directly undermines His authority in four ways: It Erases the Definition of Sin: Scripture explicitly defines sin as "the transgression of the law" (1 John 3:4). If you throw out the Law, you destroy the only boundary that defines right from wrong. It Defies Yeshua’s Direct Warning: The Messiah specifically warned that anyone who breaks the commandments and teaches others to do so will be called the least in the Kingdom (Matthew 5:19).If "least" literally meant a low-ranking person inside the Kingdom, Yeshua would be saying that a carnal, commandment-breaking believer is somehow spiritually superior to John the Baptist. That makes no sense. But if "least" means the person who hasn't even entered yet (the mortal believer still waiting on the outside), the phrase makes perfect sense. It Replaces Divine Truth with Human Tradition: Bypassing God's Feasts, dietary laws, and Sabbath always leads to a common substitution—making the Word of God "of none effect" through human traditions (Mark 7:13). It Separates Faith from True Loyalty: Scripture states, "This is the love of God, that we keep his commandments" (1 John 5:3). Teaching against obedience strips believers of the concrete actions required to show true covenant loyalty. The Bottom Line: Telling people they are free to ignore the Father's instructions mimics the very first deception in the Garden: "Yea, hath God said...?" It doesn't just misinterpret Scripture; it actively trains people to live in comfortable transgression. Yeshua the Messiah Modern Christianity He kept the Leviticus food laws. God’s holy Sabbath's day of rest is done away with. The Sabbath was changed to Sunday because the Apostles met on the first day of the week. The Leviticus food laws, that God said don't eat or touch unclean meat, are only for the Jews. There is a secret rapture for Christians only, excluding them from the tribulation. The law of God was nailed to the cross. Carnal Christians are not under the law, but they are under Grace. Yeshua did it so we don't have to. Once saved always saved. Just ask Yeshua into your heart for salvation. The only requirement for Believing is acknowledging God’s existence. Baptism is just a symbolic meaning and is not required for salvation. The Gospel is the death burial and resurrection. Following God's instructions is legalistic. You are a Jew if you keep the food laws, the Sabbath, God's feast days, and all God's commandments like Yeshua did. It just matters what you feel in your heart, even if it is pagan. Yeshua's birth happened on December 25, and there were shepherds and sheep in the fields and Mary and Joseph were required to travel in the winter. The church can Christianize pagan holidays, like Christmas, Easter, and Halloween. Paul's misunderstood letters nullify God’s word and His instructions. Professor Jordan Peterson recently and brilliantly described the Bible as the first “hyperlinked text,” that is, the first text that complexly references itself throughout the entirety of its structure in a vast series of internal interconnections. Think of Wikipedia, in which the articles all reference and interlink to one another in a vast web of knowledge. The Bible is hyperlinked in the same way but for ancient stories and repositories of ancient myths, insights, narratives, wisdom, mystical poetry, and ethical theories. The difference was that instead of clicking, ancient readers would have to flip through the pages like a Choose Your Own Adventure Book. Advertisements Report this ad What does this amazing image show, you may wonder? It is truly mind-blowing when you fully grasp it. Consider this staggering fact: Every single one of the lines on the bottom of the image is a Biblical verse. The length of each line is proportionate to the number of times that verse is referred to in some way by some other verse in the Bible. In other words, this image is a map. It shows the 63,779 cross-references in the Bible, this massive sweeping text written over thousands of years by hundreds of people from a wide variety of different backgrounds in three different languages: Greek, Latin, and Aramaic. Starting at any one verse, imagine how many pathways you could take through all the interlinked verses through the text! There are nearly endless permutations and combinations and every verse and phrase is dependent on nearly every other verse and phrase to get the “full” meaning of what this sweeping collection of many books within a book says on any one subject… Christopher Harisson offers even deeper insight into this amazing diagram he created when he says that it “…started as a collaboration between Christoph Römhild and myself. Christoph, a Lutheran Pastor, first emailed me in October of 2007. He described a data set he was putting together that defined textual cross references found in the Bible. He had already done considerable work visualizing the data before contacting me. Together, we struggled to find an elegant solution to render the data, more than 63,000 cross references in total. As the work progressed, it became clear that an interactive visualization would be needed to properly explore the data, where users could zoom in and prune down the information to manageable levels. However, this was less interesting to us, as several Bible-exploration programs existed that offered similar functionality and much more. Instead we set our sights on the other end of the spectrum –- something more beautiful than functional. At the same time, we wanted something that honored and revealed the complexity of the data at every level –- as one leans in, smaller details should become visible. This ultimately led us to the multi-colored arc diagram you see below. The bar graph that runs along the bottom represents all of the chapters in the Bible. Books alternate in color between white and light gray. The length of each bar denotes the number of verses in the chapter. Each of the 63,779 cross references found in the Bible is depicted by a single arc – the color corresponds to the distance between the two chapters, creating a rainbow-like effect.” In short, the Bible is an important book. Indeed, it is one of the most foundational texts on which our culture was built, the massive powerhouse that inspired some of our most-exquisite literature, films, music, poetry, philosophers, and theologians, influences the lives of millions upon millions of people, a text for which countless people were paradoxically both baptized at birth and killed in the name of, and which represented the very deepest insights that human beings were able to come up with over thousands of years, many powerful insights of which still have something to say to us this day. And this point remains true even if we don’t read the Bible in a fundamentalist-literalist way, but rather take the majority of it as metaphorical and mythical with some intrusions of history throughout and a whole lot of cultural context infused into its nearly inexhaustible depths. It’s a really amazing and awe-inspiring book, to be sure, and with an amazing version like the Cultural Backgrounds Study Bible , which sheds light on the ancient cultures and contexts that inform its verses, can be a really fascinating and inspiring read.
